Understand how you prefer to work
Before evaluating a manager, PIMPmyBOSS starts with you: the amount of framing, check-ins, recognition, stability, autonomy or meaning you prefer.
Your profile is not a personality diagnosis. It describes a mix of professional preferences observed through ten concrete situations and returns them as five visible components.
A combination, not a label.
Star, Pilot, Specialist, Creative and Collective are five proprietary archetypes of working preferences. They are reference points used to make a configuration of needs readable; they are not official psychological categories.
The radar always shows all five components. A dominant component may help describe the profile, but it never replaces the full distribution.
What the questionnaire is designed to distinguish.
Framing, Check-ins, Recognition, Cooperation, Stability, Guidance, Intensity, Exploration, Meaning and Autonomy describe ten different preferences. Each question opposes two legitimate ways of working rather than creating an obviously desirable answer.
The five archetypes are not artificially equidistant. The engine gives more weight to dimensions that genuinely distinguish the active reference centres.
A preference becomes useful when compared with what a manager actually does.
Your personal profile does not say that one management style will always suit you. PIMPmyBOSS compares your ten preferences with the ten behaviours you experience with a specific manager.
That encounter reveals what aligns, what diverges and which gaps may call for adjustment.
Your personal profile remains independent from each relationship.
Once completed, your profile can be reused in new evaluation cycles. If you decide to redo it later, previous results are not recalculated: each cycle keeps the exact profile used at the time.
In your private history, PIMPmyBOSS flags when a changed personal profile may contribute to a change in compatibility.
Frequently asked questions
Important answers should remain understandable without animation, internal jargon or dependence on a personal result.
Is this a personality test?
No. PIMPmyBOSS describes professional working preferences across ten dimensions. The five profiles are proprietary archetypes, not a psychological diagnosis.
Why five components instead of one style?
Because a real person can resemble several reference points at once. The engine measures proximity to each of the five reference points and normalises those proximities into five shares totalling 100%.
Why do some dimensions count more?
A dimension is more discriminating when the five reference centres are genuinely further apart on it. Its weight is derived from that variance, not adjusted case by case for a person.
Can I say whether the profile feels accurate?
Yes. In My space, you can answer Yes, clearly, Partly or No. This feedback does not change any score or result.
